Organic Corner Store hosts a free Sewing Circle, usually twice a month from around 10am, to beat waste while building community.
It's a friendly casual space to drop in and work on any mending or craft projects that you have on the go, while enjoying morning tea from the market stalls, having a chat and a laugh and sometimes solving life's problems in between shopping or tending stalls. There are hand sewing supplies available to use, and no experts but usually someone available nearby to lend a hand if needed. Mend ripped seams and moth-holes, fix up shopping bags, replace lost buttons, give soft toys a new lease of life. If you're the first one there, make yourself at home and get started, and sooner or later others will join you.
See the market newsletter or facebook page for dates, look out for the Sewing Circle sign & kit, or ask at Nadja's Garden stall.sewing circle for website
